Urgent Support Needed for Occupation of Happy Valley

The occupation of Happy Valley has recently reached the one year mark. So far the campaign to protect this awesome, biologically diverse ecosystem from the digger and dynamite of state owned climate polluter Solid Energy has been successful.? The occupation is a critical part of that campaign.? Continuing it is of the utmost importance ? however we are struggling to do this and we desperately need:

>> People! We need YOU to cover a period of time.? Please email mailto:occupation@savehappyvalley.org.nzor text or call 021 203 7040 to roster yourself in.? Even a couple of days is fantastic.? If you cant make it, do you know someone else who can join, or cover two weeks? Four weeks? Long term? If you can offer an amount of time at any date, then feel free to ask the Coordinator when you are most needed. The Coalition aims to collect enough donations to provide this person’s food - so it is a great opportunity to live in the bush and to live at the heart of a campaign resisting profit-driven devastation.
>> Donations! We need money for food, transport between the road end and Westport, camp maintenance and equipment needs as they arise.? In particular we need to be able to provide food to at least 1 volunteer.? In total, we need $60/week to keep the occupation running.?
