Protect an acre and ask a friend

Over the past three years Conservation International, in conjunction with our partners, has conserved 143 million acres of tropical forest - equivalent to taking 10 million cars off the road. Nine days ago we started a campaign to build awareness about the global threat of deforestation. And since that day over 3,000 more acres have been protected.

However, every year we lose some 32 million acres (130,000 square kilometers) of tropical forests - an area equal to the size of England. And every acre lost was home to a rich variety of life that provided essential resources to people and the planet.

The more CO2 in the atmosphere the more the world as we know it will change. Oceans rise. Shorelines change. Deserts spread. Droughts increase. Not to mention the millions of people, plants and animals who are affected by each acre of forest cleared due to poor or irresponsible decision-making in the name of progress.

Earth needs you now. In fact, it needs more than you - Earth needs you to join with a friend (or two or three) who are willing to each donate just $15 to help save an acre of forest.

In fact, if every member of Conservation International saved an acre and got just one friend to do the same we’d save countless more acres of tropical forest and keep tons of CO2 from entering the atmosphere.

Act Now. The forests need you (and your friend!) today. Help us save an acre now for just $15 and then send this email to as many friends as you can.

Together we can stop climate change.

Sincerely,
Vinnie Wishrad Blue

P.S.  Act Now. When you help save an acre, your name and state will appear in a square on our website’s Lost There, Felt Here section
