Whale Wars Season 2 a Hit

While Whale Wars Season Two airs in the US and Canada, we hope that our supporters can see just what it takes to save whales in the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary. In the meantime, we continue our ocean defense campaigns globally and are working in South Africa to remove shark nets wrecking havoc on marine eco-systems with the Shark Angels as well as to defend false killer whales from the same fate by the MCM they experienced this month. We are also proud to report on the success of our Seal Campaign with LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics in North America…Captain Paul Watson and the Sea Shepherd crew featured in Whale Wars had nearly 1.2 million viewers for the Season Two premier on June 5th, 2009 on Animal Planet in the US. The action packed series, which covers Sea Shepherd’s previous Antarctic Whale Defense Campaign Operation Musashi to the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary, saw double digit gains from it’s first season average.
